SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER
Location: Battersea (Hybrid working considered after probation)
Salary: Up to £40,000 basic salary, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm
Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Property Manager to join a forward thinking and growing property business.
This role would suit a highly organised and proactive Property Manager with at least three years' experience managing residential portfolios who enjoys taking ownership, delivering exceptional customer service and working in a fast paced environment.
Our client is looking for someone with strong property management knowledge, excellent communication skills and a hands on approach. Whilst this is a senior level position, they are seeking somebody who remains actively involved in the day to day management of their portfolio and leads by example.
The successful candidate will initially work from the office five days per week during their first three months, before moving into a more flexible working arrangement.
The Role
As Senior Property Manager, you will take responsibility for the effective management of a substantial residential portfolio, acting as the key point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors.
You will play a vital role in ensuring properties are maintained to the highest standards, remain fully compliant and deliver an excellent customer experience throughout the tenancy lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a residential portfolio of approximately 200 properties
- Acting as the primary point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors
- Overseeing maintenance issues from initial report through to resolution
- Ensuring all properties remain compliant with current legislation and safety requirements
- Conducting and reviewing property inspections
- Managing tenancy move outs and deposit negotiations
- Negotiating deposit deductions between landlords and tenants and referring disputes where necessary
- Resolving property related issues efficiently and professionally
- Maintaining accurate records and updating the CRM system
- Working closely with colleagues and management to ensure service standards are consistently achieved
- Supporting the continued growth and development of the property management function
About You
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' UK residential Property Management experience
- Experience managing a sizeable portfolio, ideally approaching 200 properties
- Previous experience working within an independent estate agency environment
- Strong knowledge of current lettings legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- A proactive and accountable approach to your work
- The ability to remain calm and effective when managing multiple priorities
- Confidence using CRM systems and adopting new technology
- A resilient and adaptable mindset, comfortable working within a growing and evolving business
Desirable
- Experience working within a technology driven property business
- Experience using multiple property management or CRM platforms
