You will work closely with design teams, commercial colleagues, clients, and supply chain partners to develop robust cost plans and support successful tender submissions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost planning, and tendering processes, with the ability to identify both opportunities and risks throughout the pre-construction phase. \n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nPrepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions in line with project requirements and specifications.\nDevelop accurate cost plans throughout the design and pre-construction stages.\nWork collaboratively with pre-construction, design, and commercial teams to secure new projects.\nReview drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate pricing.\nAssess project risks and opportunities, providing practical and cost-effective solutions where appropriate.\nProduce quantity take-offs and measurement exercises using recognised industry standards.\nSupport value engineering initiatives and advise on alternative construction solutions.\nMonitor and price design changes throughout project development.\nProvide comprehensive cost information and tender documentation to support project handover.\nLiaise with consultants, subcontractors, and supply chain partners to obtain competitive quotations and ensure all project costs are captured.\nAssist with budget reviews and affordability assessments to support informed decision-making.\nRequirements\n\nProven experience in an Estimator position within the construction sector.\nExperience pricing projects through framework agreements, negotiated tenders, or two-stage procurement routes.\nAbility to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical information accurately.\nExperience producing quantity take-offs and cost plans using industry-standard measurement methods.\nStrong commercial awareness and understanding of cost control principles.\nExcellent numerical and analytical skills.\nRelevant CSCS card.\nProfessional membership or working towards accreditation with a recognised construction body would be advantageous.\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and excellent benefits package.\nOpportunity to join a successful and growing construction business.\nDiverse and interesting project portfolio.\nShould you wish to discuss, please contact RGB Recruitment and ask for Nicky Harris
