Podcast Producer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced freelance podcast producer (audio + video) to help produce a thoughtful, high-quality interview series exploring how modern life collides with human biology—and what we can do about it.

About Us

We are two PhD psychologists/scientists, best-selling authors, executive coaches and long-time researchers launching a podcast focused on the science of wellbeing, loneliness, health, and the human condition. Our work bridges research and practical tools, with expert guests and a strong narrative focus.

This is not a high-volume content play—we’re building something intellectually rigorous, emotionally engaging, and beautifully produced.

The Role

You will be responsible for end-to-end production of podcast episodes, from raw recordings to final publication, including:

  • Audio editing, mixing, and mastering (broadcast-quality)
  • Video editing for full episodes and social clips
  • Managing remote interview recordings (platforms like Riverside, SquadCast, etc.)
  • Light coaching/support during recording sessions, and possibly before, if needed
  • Creating short-form clips for promotion (YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Uploading and scheduling episodes (hosting platforms, YouTube)
  • Advising on workflow, gear, and overall production quality

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience producing video podcasts or interview-based content
  • Strong audio instincts (clarity, pacing, tone matter deeply to us)
  • Excellent video editing sense—clean, minimal, and intelligent (not flashy)
  • Familiarity with remote recording tools and troubleshooting
  • Ability to take initiative and shape the production process, not just execute tasks
  • Interest in psychology, health, or science is a strong plus

We’re especially keen to find someone who cares about ideas as much as execution and enjoys being part of a creative team.

Details:

  • Freelance | ~1–3 days/week
  • UK-based
  • Flexible engagement (per episode or day rate)

Apply with:

  • Links to relevant work
  • A brief note on why this project interests you
  • Your rates

  • Practical Details
  • London/Henley-based
  • Flexible hours; workload likely 1–3 days per week depending on production cycle
  • Freelance / contract basis (day rate or per-episode fee)

To Apply

Please send:

  • A short note about yourself and why this project interests you
  • Links to podcast/video work you’ve produced (essential)
  • Your typical rates (day or per-episode)

Final Word

We’re looking for a collaborator, not just a technician—someone who can help us create something calm, intelligent, and genuinely useful in a noisy world.
